The Luminor Submersible is Panerai's professional diver's watch. This watch achieves the great historic tradition of Panerai in the underwater field. The Submersible is water-resistant up to 1000 meters, unlike the other 300 meter collections, and is equipped with a helium valve for decompression.
The Submersible is the development in a modern style of a Panerai model produced in 1956 for the Egyptian Navy. It has an 8-day Angelus movement, a small seconds dial at 9 o'clock, a large case, and a rotating bezel with reference markers enabling the duration of a dive to be read quickly. The Radiomir Chronograph is a classic model from the Radiomir collection. Made out of steel, this watch has its own sports character. The 45mm case has now become the standard size for the whole range and contains two chronometer push-pieces. The pieces are perfectly incorporated into the design of the caseband at 2 and 4 o'clock and ensure a perfect water-resistance of up to 100 meters.
The Radiomir Chronograph's dial is black with luminous markers and Arabic numerals and tachymeter scale on the flange. There is a small seconds dial positioned at 9 o'clock and a minute counted at 3 o'clock. The Swiss movement of this watch operated at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and has a power reserve of 42 hours. This chronograph is solid and reliable and uses a twin column wheel system for switching the chronograph functions.
